Oceans. Vice-admiral Robert Fitzroy (1805 - 1865) was known for being famous HMS Beagle captain. This Royal Navy ten guns ship, in charge with hydrographical and cartographical survey in Tierra del Fuego, had, on board, the naturalist Charles Darwin.
Mountains. Robert Fitzroy gave his name to the great Argentinean mount Fitzroy (3405m), climbed by French alpinist Lionel Terray in 1952. This mount is told to be world most difficult mount.
